Our physicians, Brian Broker, M.D., Laurence Cramer, D.O., Paul Swanson, M.D., Carol Actor, M.D., and Joshua Goldberg, D.O. have undergone extensive training in the latest surgical and nonsurgical techniques and treatments with some of the most respected doctors in the country. They combine otolaryngology and facial plastic surgery expertise with high medical standards to give all patients the personalized care they deserve.
Brian Broker, M.D. is an experienced physician who is board-certified in otolaryngology, or head and neck medicine, and is extensively trained in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery. After completing medical school and residency training at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, he joined the staff at the prestigious UCLA Medical Center, where he completed his fellowship training. Dr. Broker then returned to the Philadelphia area to pursue private practice.
Dr. Brian Broker is the author of many publications concerning new treatments for ear, nose, and throat disorders and holds several leadership positions in the medical field. He was appointed by Governor Rendell to be an advisor on the Medical Liability Task Force and is Chairman of the Otolaryngology section at Phoenixville Hospital. Dr. Broker was recognized as "Top Doc" by the magazine Main Line Today in 2003-2004.
Dr. Broker's interests include facial plastic surgery, general otolaryngology, and allergy treatment in both adults and children. His specialties include minimally invasive cosmetic surgery (including nonsurgical treatments such as BOTOX® Cosmetic, Juvéderm™, lasers, and dermabrasion, nasal and sinus surgeries, rhinoplasty, sleep apnea and snoring surgeries, and the latest techniques for the treatment of allergies, such as sublingual immunotherapy and allergy drops.
Laurence Cramer, D.O. is an experienced ear, nose, and throat physician who has been providing services to the Philadelphia area for the past ten years. He is board-certified in otorhinolaryngology, head and neck surgery, and facial plastic surgery. Born and raised in Philadelphia, Dr. Cramer received his Bachelor of Arts in science from Pennsylvania State University in 1983. He completed his medical school and residency training at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He received extensive post-residency training in endoscopic sinus surgery, balloon-assisted sinuplasty, and noninvasive facial plastic and laser surgery treatments. He is an expert in facial reconstruction following skin cancer removal.
Dr. Laurence Cramer is a member of several organizations, including the American Osteopathic Association, the American Academy of Otorhinolaryngology, and the American Academy of Laser Medicine and Surgery. He was associate professor of otorhinolaryngology at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and still lectures frequently to residents and students.
Dr. Cramer has also been involved in various leadership roles in several local hospitals. He is on the medical staff at Bryn Mawr Hospital, Phoenixville Hospital, and Pottstown Hospital, and he is currently the chairman of the ENT department at Roxborough Hospital. He has been featured on local news channels and cable television as an ENT expert and has been interviewed by several medical journals.
Dr. Cramer's practice covers all aspects of the ear, nose, and throat. He treats patients of all ages, from infants to adults to geriatrics. His areas of expertise include endoscopic sinus and nasal surgery, facial plastic reconstruction, noninvasive facial plastic surgery, laser facial rejuvenation, and sublingual allergy drops.
Dr. Swanson has been in practice since 1995 and has broad experience in Ear Nose and Throat, Facial Plastic Surgery, and Allergy. Dr. Swanson graduated from Brown University and received his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Medicine. Dr. Swanson served as a physician in the U.S. Air Force in Texas, South Korea, and England. He completed his Otolaryngology-Facial Plastic Surgery training at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, a residency program ranked fourth nationally by U.S. News and World Reports.
Dr. Paul Swanson is the author of numerous medical publications. He continues to give lectures regularly. He has also been featured in various newspaper articles and on television.
Dr. Swanson is board-certified in all aspects of ear, nose, and throat facial plastic surgery. He has particular expertise in nasal and sinus surgeries (including balloon sinuplasty), minimally invasive facial plastic surgery (including nonsurgical treatments such as BOTOX® Cosmetic, JUVÉDERM™, lasers, and dermabrasion), pediatric otolaryngology, sleep apnea and snoring surgery, and allergy treatment. He provides comprehensive care to both children and adults.
We are pleased to announce that in the interest of expanding our services to patients, we are welcoming Dr. Carol Actor to our practice. Dr. Actor is a highly qualified board certified Allergist/Immunologist with over 20 years of experience in direct patient care. She has broad experience in both adult and pediatric allergy and immunology with a special interest in pediatric patients.
After graduating from Temple University School of Medicine she completed both her residency in Pediatrics and then her fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC. Dr. Actor’s outstanding communication and problem-solving skills in conjunction with her knowledge of pediatrics and allergy make her an asset to our practice.
A member of several national medical societies including the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology and the American College of Asthma Allergy and Immunology, Dr. Actor is a former president of the Greater Washington Asthma and Allergy Society.
Dr. Actor's special areas of expertise and interest include pediatric food allergies, stinging insect allergies, severe asthma, and immunodeficiencies.
Dr. Joshua Goldberg is another addition to our expanding practice. Board certified in otorhinolaryngology, head and neck surgery, and facial plastic surgery, he attended medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Goldberg completed his residency training at Consortium of Hospitals of Philadelphia College Osteopathic Medicine (Medical College of Pennsylvania, St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, and the Albert Einstein Medical Center).
Dr. Joshua Goldberg is a Fellow of American Osteopathic College of Otolaryngology and Head & Neck Surgery. He has served on The Reading Hospital and Medical Center committee for dysphagia management. He has also published numerous articles and posters for various academy journals and meetings. He continues his education by frequently teaching and lecturing to medical students, residents, and physicians. Most importantly, he has dedicated his career to patient satisfaction and expert individual care.
